The history of the RP girth

An accidental innovation with a revolutionary impactThe RP girth perfectly demonstrates how breakthroughs in equestrian equipment are made – through keen observation, creative experimentation, and a fresh perspective.

It was originally intended to help horses with scars, sarcoids, or other sensitive areas in the girth region. But during research, we discovered something unexpected: the natural swinging motion of the sternum between the horse’s front legs had been completely overlooked by traditional girths.

By applying advanced techniques like dental impression material and cutting-edge testing methods, we brought this biomechanical insight to life and used it to shape the RP girth’s design.

Testing and development
