Saddle Me Smitz

I am Dieter Smitz and Carsten Engelke has been accompanying my journey for many years — we met at regional tournaments, trained together and deepened our passion for sport. At the beginning of the 2000s, our paths specialized professionally: I am in Topsport Gone and down to the heavy classes while Carsten has found his calling in the development and adjustment of saddles.

For many years, I was one of the first to test new products. My qualified and, above all, honest feedback has been incorporated into numerous developments at Saddle Me and prestige incorporated — including into the X technology, one of Prestige's most significant innovations.

In addition to sports, I bring my experience as a horse man to Hanoverian Association One where I as Koerkommissar Springen I am active. The combination of top sport, breeding expertise and almost 20 years Experience as a test partner in saddle development shapes my view of what modern horses really need today.

Together with my wife Simone Smitz — Horse management champion and also successful up to the heavy class — do I lead our Jumping training stable in Bad Nenndorf. As a breeding hopper and breeder, I know the requirements from rearing and health management to sporting development and suitable equipment. My claim: solutions that make riding easy and provide optimum long-term support for horse and rider.
